Welcome the the MID-OHIO VALLEY PARISH!

MID-OHIO VALLEY PARISH DISCIPLES OF CHRIST is a unique parish formed in 2006 by two separate congregations; First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Parkersburg, WV and Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Marietta, OH. Each congregation  continues to function as a separate organization. First Christian in Parkersburg is part of the Christian Church in WV. Central Christian is part of the Christian Church in OH. Both congregations are part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada. Together we minister to the entire Mid-Ohio Valley. Our mission starts in the Mid-Ohio Valley and goes far beyond our local area. 

We invite everyone to come and be a part of our fellowship and service to Jesus Christ.

Pastor's Welcome

Welcome!  If you’re on this page, I’m assuming that you are here because:

·    You are interested in learning about our congregation.
·    You want to find out more about the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
·    You have heard about the minister that is "different".
·    You hit the wrong key and are here by mistake.

      Whatever your reason, I have prayed for the first person who finds their way here – so, I have prayed for YOU! I’ve also prayed for the first 1,000 so regardless, consider yourself prayed for.
      We are a group of people who believe that being a Christian is the very best life, not just in the future, but right now.  We have so much fun together when times are good and we support each other when times are tough.  We expect the best, accept the worst and do everything in our power to live out the two greatest commandments – loving God and loving each other.
